Real Weddings

Lauren and Joseph at the Crystal Plaza

Details of the Day: Lauren had always dreamt of getting married at The Crystal Plaza since she was in high school. She loved the intricate details, beautiful chandeliers, ambiance, the gold & ivory colors & beautifully charming, unique ballroom. Lauren truly never believed her dream wedding would actually come to life and everyone around her told her not to set her expectations too high and that what we dream of when we are young is not a reality. However, The Crystal Plaza proved that theory very wrong. Lauren & Joe were astonished by their vision coming to life and every single detail truly exceeded both of their expectations and was actually more than anything either of them ever imagined. On top of Joe’s list was a well-known, reliable venue with excellent food and service. The Crystal Plaza’s uniqueness to each and every wedding, their attention to detail, unbelievable reputation and undeniably over the top service, especially from our first meeting with Max Janoff, won Joe over easily. In addition, to the intricate details and food, our priority was to ensure our guests a fun night. Johnny Budz & the staff from Elite Entertainment went above and beyond to keep the dance floor packed and the guests dancing all night long. The Menu: Huge cocktail hour consisting of 12 stations including raw bar display with shrimp hanging from the ceiling, 8 foot ice martini bar, and a variety of delicious passed items as well. 1st course was the Crystal Plaza’s 5 Compartment Presentation which is a green glass plate with buratta, salad, honey glazed roll, balsamic dressing and a summer mojito. Guests selected from Filet Mignon, Halibut, Chicken Grand Marnier and Vegetable Lasagna for main course. Dessert was presented in a similar fashion as 1st course but now on the Crystal Plaza’s 9-Hole, Lattice, Plate which consists of 9 samplings of desserts. The food didn’t stop there! As guests were leaving they were stopped by a full on deli set up that they call “Jersey Bites” which gave the guests the option of 12 different sandwiches to take home with water and chips! [sponsor] Favorite Moment: Dancing in the clouds, the alone time they had in their drive over with John from Action Limo, from the church to the crystal plaza. Favorite Detail: ALL of them, Lauren & Joe are very detail oriented and made sure every detail was covered from providing flip flops to the guests and worked together with Max to brainstorm unique never before seen details like their shot factory & Jersey Bites as their favor. Lauren & Joe also loved their monogrammed ice sculpture during cocktail hour, their fork and knife said ‘I do, me too’, on the bottom of their shoes they had ‘ he’s mine, she’s mine decals’, Poem for bathroom baskets & flip flops, succulents as a favor for their rehearsal dinner guests.
