Kristina and Jeremy at David’s Country Inn

Posted on July 02, 2020 by Ariana Baio

We grew up in the same town and right down the road from each other. Jeremy was in the grade below me, but we never met until we were both out of high school. We met through mutual friends and then became great friends.Kristina and Jeremy at David's Country Inn

It was Christmas 2017. We had exchanged our gifts and we were about to leave to go to our parents house when he got down on one knee and told me he had one last gift for me. He asked me to marry him and I said yes- while sobbing.Kristina and Jeremy at David's Country Inn

I had always imagined our wedding day with bright flowers to fill the room like a garden. Everything from the dishes to the centerpieces to the finishing touches on the cake, Fleurs Divine helped capture all my truest florist inspirations. The bridesmaids wore a guava colored dress and the groomsmen wore a charcoal grey with guava-colored ties. For favors we gave personalized Koozies that had our hashtag on it and wildflower seeds that complimented our garden theme. We did this so guests could plant seeds of love.Kristina and Jeremy at David's Country Inn

We chose David’s Country Inn because of how beautiful it is and the staff made us feel at home.Kristina and Jeremy at David's Country Inn

We did a buffet-style because the food at David’s Country Inn is so goo. We had filet mignon, chicken and salmon. Some of the sides we had were lobster ravioli, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, etc. We also had a few vegan options and gluten-free due to some of our guests with allergies. Everyone still raves today about our food! Our cake was from Palermo’s- we went with red velvet cake and chocolate for our flavors.

All about your gown!
I went dress shopping at Kleinfeld’s in New York.  My dress was a Danielle Caprese off-the-shoulder ballgown. I knew it was the one when I put it on, it made me feel like I was Cinderella. It had the perfect beading that started up top but stopped half-way down.

My favorite moment was looking around when all of our guests were in the same room as us and knowing how much love was in this one room. Knowing we had all this support felt absolutely amazing.

There is not one detail I could not live without. Every detail for this wedding made it the most special day of our lives.Kristina and Jeremy at David's Country Inn

My one bridesmaid stayed with me the night before I got married, and she was so focused on making sure I had everything, including my dress, that while we were getting ready she realized she did not have her dress! I just started laughing. Jeremy’s sister ended up driving back to the hotel for us and getting her dress. It all worked out but it was just pretty funny.Kristina and Jeremy at David's Country Inn

Take your time to plan your day the way that you want it. Don’t listen to anyone who has their negative comments. This day is about you and your spouse. At your wedding night, take time for you and your husband. Go into another room or go outside and just soak this moment all in. The night goes by too fast.

We went to Cape May.
