“Dave, the conductor, knew I had been single for about a year,” explains Krissa. He said, “I have someone in mind for you, are you open to a blind date?” Krissa declined at first, but “the next day Dave—the sweetest white haired gentleman—came back to me and said ‘for what it’s worth, I’ve set up two other couples who have also gotten married, don’t pass this up!'”

Krissa was impressed with his track record so she agreed.

Fast forward to that Saturday and “as I walked into the bar I saw the most handsome man and thought yeah, I doubt that’s him,” says Krissa. ” Later on, she found out that Billy had through the same thing about her.

Billy asked Krissa to move in with two months later and he said “I think your the one and I don’t want to waste anytime trying to figure that out,” she says.

Choosing the Venue

Krissa says it “was really difficult for us to find a reasonably priced venue.”

Also, from the beginning Billy and Krissa didn’t want a traditional wedding at a venue.

“We had been to so many that we were kind of over the traditional venue wedding where the food was just okay,” she explains.

Then, one of Krissa’s patients showed her photos from her wedding at the North Shore House “and I was blown away with how beautiful the venue was and with how reasonable the pricing was,” says Krissa.

Details of the Day

Their color scheme was neutrals with olive green accents.

“Billy and I are very simple people,” says Krissa. “The venue and grounds are so stunning and the food was so impressive that it spoke all for itself.”

“I decided to keep decor light and simple. I told all my vendors I was going for ‘clean,'” she says.

Dave, the conductor who introduced the couple also married Billy and Krissa.
