The Tides Estate checked off all the boxes for Kiara and Aren- not only did the venue have a clean color palette that allowed them to create a space of their own, it was the perfect size and served great food.
The Cake:
Perhaps the most standout item on Kiara and Aren’s menu was their dark blue, wedding cake.
“We try not to do what is expected,” Aren says. The couple’s four-tier cake had a different design on each tier so “the style of the cake was not too grand” as Aren says, “but the color can be something that’s really memorable.”
The Outfits:
Kiara wore the “Bianca” gown by Maggie Sottero Designs, a strapless A-line with a scoop neck and handmade rosettes accented with pearls along the front.
“I wanted something that was clean and sophisticated but with a twist,” Kiara says. She also wore her late grandmother’s pearl ring and bracelet. Aren chose a navy-blue velour suit from Sebastien Grey Clothiers, along with an Omega wristwatch, which was Kiara’s gift to him.
“It meant a lot to me, because it’s something that I had wanted even before I met her,” Aren says. “The fact that she was the one to make that dream come true for me was just super cool.”
Aren’s favorite moment was seeing Kiara come down the aisle. “When I saw her in the dress, the excitement overtook me as it did the night we met,” he says.

Advice to Other Couples:
The couple emphasizes choosing vendors that you can form meaningful relationships with to make the most of your day.
“It’s your day, and as much it is about the bride and the groom, it’s about who you surround yourself with and that includes the vendors,” Kiara says. Both Kiara and Aren look back fondly on their experience with their photographer, Bri Johnson.
“She was able to help us put the wedding together, help us get ready and help us with our stress” Aren says. “She was just a really great partner for us to go through this whole experience with.”
Honeymoon Location
Kiara and Aren went to Bali and traveled the coast of Nusa Dua before settling home in Bloomfield.
