Kayla and Matt wed at Indian Trail Club on September 28, 2024.
“Our proposal was one of the best days of my life,” says Kayla.
“Every Saturday morning we walk to Van Vorst Park where they have a farmer’s market. It’s our weekend ritual!”
“The day of the proposal we were walking to the market in the pouring rain and snow, both bundled up and shivering,” says Kayla.
“As soon as we made it to the park, he pulled me away to a quieter spot, got down on one knee and proposed.”
Their timeless theme of white, sage, and blue set a beautiful, serene tone that mirrored their vision of a simple, seamless day filled with love—elegant, timeless, cheery.

The venue, chosen for its outdoor charm and stunning lake views, reflected their love for nature and the outdoors.
“We loved the outdoor element to the venue,” says Kayla. “Matt and I are big lake people. We loved the open feel to the reception room with all of the windows and love how bright it feels.”
“I’d say just soak up the time being engaged and don’t let yourself stress out too much over the planning,” says the bride.
“I’ve spent so much of my time waiting for the big day stressed and feeling like I’m not doing enough, but enjoy it!”
She add that she also watched a lot of Tik Toks and Instagram reels for inspiration.
The newlyweds enjoyed a vacation in the Etereo Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico for four nights.
