How did you meet?
I met my husband for the first time in 2013 in Hoboken through mutual friends. The stars weren’t aligned just yet, but I knew he was special. We met again a year later in Belmar and went on our first date a week after that. It’s safe to say we found love at the Jersey Shore and have been dating ever since.

How did you get engaged?
We got engaged in Mykonos, Greece, in 2018 on our dream vacation. Our trip started in Athens then we headed to Mykonos and later ended the trip in Santorini. My husband proposed on the first night in Mykonos overlooking the water. The moment was captured by an incredible Greek photographer who was hiding behind some plants. The proposal was followed by a photoshoot at sunset and dinner. We decided to call our family and friends after dinner, and that’s when it all set it. As soon as I heard my mom’s voice I couldn’t speak and just cried with joy. It was truly a night I will never forget.

Details of the day!
We chose white and light-pink flowers, as these are the color options for the wedding we originally had planned.

Why did you choose your venue?
The Wave Resort was the only venue to make a reservation for 25 people outside in the middle of a pandemic. I am forever grateful for how safe, clean and welcoming the hotel was.

What was on your menu?
We ended up having one of everything on The Wave Resort’s menu as my husband thought it was necessary to have the largest food package option. Our wedding cake was vanilla with strawberry filling (my favorite).

All about your gown!
This was the only dress I could find online that I loved in the middle of a pandemic and one month before our micro wedding. I wanted to save my traditional wedding gown for the celebration in 2021.

What was your favorite moment?
Watching my husband’s face as I walked down the aisle. I’ll never forget it.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
Getting married at our hometown church St. Thomas More in Manalapan. I also met my maid of honor in pre-school here so it was amazing to see our friendship come full circle.

Did anything go wrong?
Nothing, it was a perfect day.

First dance song?
From the Ground Up by Dan and Shay. We first heard this song at a Rascal Flatts concert at PNC and fell in love with it.

Any advice for future brides?
Never lose sight of the true meaning of your wedding day. This day is all about the love between you and your husband.

Honeymoon location:
We stayed at The Wave Resort for two nights as traveling was limited due to Covid. We are hoping to go to Italy together one day!
