How did you meet?
We met online and talked via phone and text for many months until we finally met in person on a date in Morristown.

How did you get engaged?
We got engaged on our family boat. Jeff took me out for a sunset cruise where he proposed. When we arrived back at the dock, all our friends were waiting to celebrate with us! From the dock, we took a school bus to River Rock where we danced the night away.

Details of the day!
We did our first look at the outdoor ceremony area at the venue. We also went and took pictures at Pier Village. Our flowers were a mix of dry and regular from The Flower Bar in Brick. I worked with The Flower Bar to specifically choose the bouquets. Bridesmaids wore green dresses and groomsmen wore suspenders. Our two bridesmen that were part of the wedding party matched the groomsmen. We ended the night with a taco truck from Tacoholics.

Why did you choose your venue?
We loved the outdoor ceremony space and what you got for the price was unbeatable! Allison was also so attentive and amazing with all of our questions. We felt very at ease through the process and could not have picked a better venue.

What was on your menu?
Our guests started with a Caesar salad. The entree options were salmon, steak, or stuffed chicken! For our cake, we had a white cake with mocha filling. Everyone raved about it!

All about your gown!
It was the first dress I tried on! I tried on others after it but could not get it out of my mind. I put it back on and knew it was the dress.

What was your favorite moment?
We loved that Sterling Ballroom had a private room for us when we needed a moment to breathe. Our favorite moment was sitting in there alone during cocktail hour. We were so happy after our ceremony taking it all in as we heard our band warming up to perform during the reception. Being together and hearing our amazing band at that moment was a highlight.

One detail you couldn’t live without?
Our band The Cliffs!

Did anything go wrong?
We could not figure out the wedding dress bustle. Everyone worked together to get the train off the ground. Thank you to everyone (Allison, Nemo, Nadine) – literally everyone pitched in to help and it wasn’t a big deal in the end.

First dance song?
Amazed by Lonestar

Any advice for future brides?
Don’t take the day too seriously!
