Jessica and Frank’s Crystal Plaza Wedding

Details of the day: The weather was perfect with not a cloud in the sky. My dress was a lace backless dress with beaded detail around the back and straps. My bridesmaids were in beautiful wine dresses, and my handsome groom and his groomsmen wore midnight blue tuxedos with black lapels, black suspenders, and black bow tie. Inside our venue we kept it classic due to the stunning beauty and elegance of the Crystal Plaza ballroom. We incorporated our current city of Hoboken into our wedding as well, by using street names rather than table numbers. Our cocktail hour was over the top with bars made of ice, such as a martini bar making over 50 flavors of cocktails and our raw bar that had shrimp, oysters, and crab. Our dinner and dancing in the ballroom was fantastic. Guests were raving about their perfectly cooked rib-eyes and can’t-help-but-dance music in the background. So much fun! We had a signature drink floating around during the night as well, an appley-ever-after cocktail. Our cake was red-velvet with gorgeous detail of frosting and our florist had added an array of flowers. Our cake topper said “Forever & Always.” Once the clock struck midnight and our wedding night was over, it was officially my husbands birthday. We ended the night with a whole-room Happy Birthday song for him. Couldn’t have been more perfect.

Your favorite part: My favorite part was nailing our choreographed first dance that we had bee working very hard on!

jess-and-frank-real-wedding78If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be? If I could change one thing it would have been to keep my high-heels on and sucked it up! I didn’t realize once I had changed into my super cute flats that I would be tripping over my dress the rest of the night! Gracefully of course……

Advice for other brides: Just stay calm. It was so easy to get caught up and tense about the whole days events and looking back everything worked out perfectly. I had stressed over nothing. AND, at the end of the day the most important thing to remember is this day is about you and your new husband starting your lives together in a long, beautiful, and happy marriage. During the planning it was so easy to get side-tracked but we always had our eyes on the prize…each other!
