Jayne Aiello to Ryan Chesterman

When the Pottery Barn catalog arrives in the mail, some brides get inspiration for their bridal registries. Jayne Aiello from Toms River flipped through Pottery Barn and found details for her wedding. “My inspiration was two of my favorite retailers, Pottery Barn and Anthropologie,” Aiello says. “I love the combination of old-fashioned décor combined with fresh, modern country, so when I contacted Tina LaMorte at Oh So Fabulous, I was interested in a wedding design that reflected a vintage chic style. I wanted unique tables with special touches.” To bring Jayne’s vision to life, LaMorte worked with a romantic neutral color palette and popped in pale pinks and greens. “We worked closely with the floral designer,” she says, “using unique props and containers such as cloches, mercury glass and antique bird cages to create the look for the event.” Fabulous custom linens in varying fabrics added rustic elegance as well. With the design in place, their venue, Addison Park in Aberdeen, looked nothing like it did when Aiello, 27, and her groom, Ryan Chesterman, 28, from Bloomfield, attended her prom together at that same location years earlier. The longtime sweethearts, together for more than 10 years, turned this ballroom, so sentimental from the earliest days of their love story, into a magical garden for their September 25, 2011, wedding. One stand-out that guests loved was their unique display of family wedding photos that LaMorte turned into découpage cards attached to a vintage birdcage with glittered clothespins. Jayne and Ryan gave Boylan seltzers and sodas, along with saltwater taffy, as favors reflecting their love of the beach. The bride’s look was Hollywood glam with a custom gown and Jimmy Choos. The groom wore a custom suit, and the bride’s father provided updates on the Giants/Eagles game throughout the celebration. The day may have started with catalog inspiration, but in the end it was all about Jayne and Ryan, and everything—and everyone—they’ve loved during their long and happy love story. After a honeymoon to Rome and the Amalfi coast, they’re at home in Montclair.
