Jaime and Matt at Beyond Organic Growers

I went to a friend’s bridal shower at Matt’s restaurant about five years ago. I posted pictures from the shower on my Instagram and tagged his restaurant. He requested me and then I messaged him telling him how good the food was and we just kept talking from then on.
We went on a family trip to Disney. We planned to do a caricature drawing of the whole group, so Matt and I went first. They told us to come around the easel and take a look at the picture and it was a picture of Matt on one knee with a ring and it said will you marry me and I turned around and he was on one knee!
We went with a rustic farm theme to go with the property. Lots of greenery with white in it, farm tables with wooden chairs and lots of simple candles. Our favors were blankets since it was a little chilly later at night. We had five different food trucks and a cocktail caravan bar outside the beautiful sail cloth tent. Bistro lighting gave the perfect amount of light. The ceremony was out in the field with a simple wooden arbor covered in greenery with white roses. Cocktail hour was all through greenhouse filled with towers of greens and outside the green house as well we had wine barrels high tops.
We chose our venue because we wanted to do something different, not the normal every day wedding hall. My family has a sod farm, that now has a beautiful organic greenhouse on it which was perfect for our cocktail hour. We wanted lots of space for anything we wanted to add without worrying about space or being told we couldn’t do that.
Our wedding menu, per our guests, was the best they have ever had. Matt is a chef so he wanted something different and over-the-top so we had four different food trucks. We had everything you can imagine – all different kinds of grilled cheeses, multiple varieties of sliders, tacos, pizza, ribs and endless amounts of sides including mozzarella sticks, chips and guac and mac and cheese bites. To end the night, we also had a dessert truck outside which had cookies, cupcakes, cannolis, apple cider, hot cocoa and more. Then under the tent we had a dessert table with macarons and wedding cake.
Favorite moment was the introductions. Everyone did their own funny intros including our three children. Everyone was up out of their seats dancing and cheering and you could just feel all the love in the room!
Fireworks. It was a huge secret that almost no one knew about. It was the perfect show and made for amazing pictures.
Everything went exactly how I had planned and couldn’t of been any happier.

Your wedding day is your day and you will not be able to please everyone. Worry about you and your future husband and try to enjoy the day because its long but it goes by so fast.
We took a cruise through Italy and Greece.
