Jackie and Calvin got married at the Rockleigh on May 5, 2024.

Their Story

The couple met at the Shore and reconnected around the time Covid began. “For our first date we sat at a table on the sidewalk since indoor dining was still prohibited at that time,” says Jackie.

The Proposal 

They got engaged in November 2022 by the River Cafe in Brooklyn and met their parents there afterwards for dinner and drinks.

“Calvin tricked me into thinking we were going to a Christmas party for his job,” says Jackie. “I questioned this at first since it was only November and he had his coworker send him a fake email with the party details and I fell for it!”

Details of the Day

The couple incorporated an ombre pink chuppah with white and bright pink florals. Their accent colors were ivory and gold.

Choosing the Venue

“We originally fell in love with their outdoor ceremony space,” says Jackie. “Unfortunately, due to the weather, we were unable to use that space, but we were still able to have our dream wedding using their brand new indoor ceremony room.”

Favorite Moment

Jackie’ favorite moment was, “walking down the aisle and seeing Calvin standing there waiting to take my hand.”

Advice For Other Couples

“Take time during your wedding day to just be together,” says the bride. “The day goes by SO quickly!”

Honeymoon

The newlyweds vacationed in Greece (Santorini) and Italy (Capri & Positano) where they enjoyed a winery tour, cooking class, sunset cruise, beach clubs and lots of great restaurants.
