Historic Charm Combined With Modern Elegance at This Shadowbrook Wedding

Jenna and Nick got married on November 23, 2024, at Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury.

Their Story

In the summer of 2019, fate brought together Jenna and Nick.

Nick, a former professional baseball player from California, was teammates with Jenna cousin’s husband in the Red Sox organization. That summer, she joined her mom and aunt on a girls’ trip to visit her cousin in Florida.

Coincidentally, Nick was recovering from an injury near the Red Sox spring training facility and happened to stay at her cousin’s home during the same week.

“When I walked through the door, I didn’t expect anyone else to be there, but that’s when I met Nick—and our story began,” says Jenna. “A West Coast boy and a Jersey girl, brought together by chance and connected forever by love.”

The Proposal

During the All-Star break of 2023, Nick planned the most unforgettable proposal on the Brooklyn Bridge.

The couple stayed at the beautiful 1 Hotel in Brooklyn, and Jenna thought they were heading into the city for a day of shopping.

“To my surprise, Nick had already picked out the perfect ring and chose that iconic spot to ask me to spend forever with him,” says Jenna.

Standing on the bridge, he got down on one knee and made the moment absolutely magical.

“It was everything I could have dreamed of and more!” she says.

Details of the Day

The decor was an elegant and opulent design, characterized by extravagant floral arrangements with white and pastel blooms, including cascading orchids and roses.

Grand crystal chandeliers and candlelight create a warm, luxurious ambiance, while gold and white tones dominates the table settings, complemented by metallic accents, glassware, and tall, intricate centerpieces.

The ceremony space featured a stunning floral arch and symmetrical aisle arrangements, adding to the grandeur.

“I wore the Evelyn gown by Galia Lahav and Nick wore a custom tuxedo by Amin Standard with custom details like our wedding date on the inside of his collar and his last name printed on the cuff of his sleeve.”

Favorite Moment

“My favorite moment from our wedding day was the first look with Nick,” says Jenna. “Seeing him for the first time, just the two of us, was such a special and emotional moment that I’ll cherish forever.”

“Another unforgettable part of the day was having all of our closest friends and family in one place, celebrating our love together,” she says. “There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by the people who mean the most to you on such an important day—it was pure joy from start to finish.”

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without

“The cascading orchids, lush roses, and perfectly curated blooms transformed the space into a romantic, ethereal setting that felt like a dream,” says Jenna about her breathtaking floral arrangements.

Nick and Jenna went to St. Barth’s for their honeymoon and stayed at the beautiful Le Toiny. They spent their days exploring the island, visiting a different beach club each day, and immersing themselves in its charm.
