Brian & Isabel
Isabel and Brian tied the knot on October 19, 2024, at Mallard Island Estate.
Their Story
Isabel and Brian are high school sweethearts (shoutout to Morristown High!).

After meeting through mutual friends, “we fell in love in a hopeless place—at the after prom celebration at the Sunrise Motel in Seaside Heights,” says Isabel.
“After staying friends throughout college, we reunited at the Morristown Saint Patty’s Day Parade in 2019 and have been together ever since!”

The Proposal
After nearly five years together, on August 5, 2023, “Brian proposed to me on top of Hadley Mountain in upstate NY after a hike that kicked both our butts,” says Isabel.

“We had the cutest little witness (Kifli Rogers!) who is my parent’s dog and a mutual obsession for both of us. Kifli was actually used as a decoy to throw off my suspicions of a pending engagement.”
Details of the Day
“I wanted my autumn beach wedding to incorporate beautiful and neutral shades of blues, grays and whites that were also fitting for the season,” says Isabel. “I’m a big fan of a minimalist and chic coastal look so we had shell and other ‘beachy’ motifs displayed on the invitations, menus and signage.”

“I always found ways to add my own flare in things without making it over the top, which took a lot of work!”
Choosing the Venue
“I’ve been going to LBI almost my whole life since my grandparents have a beach house in Barnegat Light,” says Isabel. “It’s become such a special place to Brian and me over the years.”

“Mallard Island Estate has always been that iconic landmark you hit when you’re about to get on the island. I would always get so excited when I saw that red roof, it signaled for the next few days I would be in my favorite place!”
Favorite Moment
“Having all my loved ones in the same place at the same time was something that still brings tears to my eyes when I think of our big day,” says Isabel.

“My mom’s family is Cuban and lives in Miami so having them all come up for my wedding and bond with my dad’s side, my husband’s family, and all our friends was amazing to watch.”
“My dear friends from France and England also flew in which meant so much to me.”

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without
“The music! I graduated with a Bachelors of Music from Bucknell,” says Isabel. “I’m known for my music taste and always providing a fire playlist so I did just that.”

“I also am obsessed with the song ‘Bittersweet Symphony’ by the Verve, so I had Ceremonious Strings play that while I walked down the island with my dad. I also sang with my band during the reception to my husband!”
Wedding Day Attire
“My bridal party wore a beautiful Eucalyptus color for the bridesmaid dresses that was also used in the floral arrangements and general wedding color palette,” says Isabel. “The men were more simple in their black tuxedos but looked dapper nonetheless!”

Advice For Other Couples
“Have fun with wedding planning and enjoy the whole process,” says Isabel. “Find ways to make your wedding unique and memorable by adding little personal touches.”

“Savor all the quality time you spend with your family and friends cause it’s a once in lifetime experience. Even when the wedding is over, find ways to relive the day to keep the happy momentum going.”
Honeymoon
They went to Bora Bora and Hawaii two weeks after the wedding.
“Even though the flights were long, it was so worth it and what better time to travel to far and exotic places other than your honeymoon? I am still dreaming of the all the food and the sunsets and time with my beloved.”
