How did you meet? We met on a dating app called Plenty of Fish. Dariusz was a busy restaurant owner and I was a busy mom/photographer.
At Dariusz’s apartment on an intimate setting on Christmas Eve. His plan was to put the ring on his fur baby’s (Paige) collar but she loved the ring so much she was trying to bite it off. He proceed to plan B which was to grab the ring, go on his knee and asked me to be his wife. I, of course, said “yes!”
My vision was romance all around with a touch of sophisticated glam, yet timeless at the same time. We used pink and white flowers, tons of greenery and pops of gold. Being that the ceremony was outdoors and the reception took place in a conservatory, I wanted all that pretty light to filter through all the details. So I chose clear and gold plates with all-white linens and napkins.
We chose The Brownstone because of its conservatory. They also had great reviews on the food and drinks. They were also able to host a smaller more intimate wedding.
Our menu started with a choice of salad and a choice of penne a la vodka or al ceppo broccoli rabe and sausage. For our entrees guests could choose between filet mignon, chicken Francaise or grilled salmon. Our cake was vanilla with chocolate custard filling.
My gown was a gorgeous mermaid Pnina Tornai dress with modern lace and sparkle. I knew it was the one when I fell chills all over my body the moment I tried it on. I knew my husband would want to see me on a gown that accentuated my curves.
Definitely the ceremony. While I was walking towards him with the violin and cello were playing, I felt like I was part of a fairytale. I also loved hearing his vows and of course, our first kiss as husband and wife.
Our photographer!
Nothing ever goes perfectly as planned. We took longer than expected with the hair styling and we were very tense, and the cake was crooked. Still it was the most perfect day!
