“Our wedding at the Bernards Inn was lightly inspired by the carefree and romantic vibe of the 1920s. The flowers, my dress, the invitations and decorations all played into that laid-back but elegant theme. About eighty of our closest family members and friends helped us celebrate on the perfect fall day. The morning of the wedding was so rainy and cloudy but the sun came out right as Ian and I were getting ready to see each other for our photos. I’ve never smiled and laughed as much as I did on our wedding day. I had thought about eloping but am so glad and grateful we celebrated with all of our loved ones!”
Your favorite part:
One word to describe your wedding?
If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be?
“Honestly? I would have eaten more food! The food at The Bernards Inn is so, so good.”
Advice for other brides:
“Be a little selfish! Throughout the wedding planning process, I was often worried about pleasing other people. But at the end of the day it is your wedding so do what will make you and your soon-to-be-husband happy! I would also recommend having at least one year to plan. I had less than eight months because I wanted a fall wedding, but a few more months to plan would have definitely helped!”
