How did you meet?
I knew Mike from high school. He was a star athlete for football, basketball and baseball. We went to the same college but missed each other by one year. One night, my friends and I made a late decision to go to a local bar. Mike was there and I went up to him telling him I used to watch him play sports. Luckily, he didn’t find me creepy. We exchanged numbers and the rest is history.
He gave me a new purse for my birthday and told me to look inside. As I was opening it, he got down on one knee and proposed.
We were originally supposed to get married on May 30, 2020. Due to Covid, we changed it to an outdoor event with only about 30 people on August 15, 2020. My bridesmaids wore burgundy and the groomsmen wore navy blue suits with burgundy ties. The flowers were neutral, white and light pink.  As centerpieces, the bridesmaids put their bouquets in tall glass vases. We gave Jordan almonds with a poem as favors.
The wedding menu consisted of a cocktail hour with four passed hors d’oeuvres, a Mediterranean station and a fruit and cheese platter. When guests sat down, they received a wedge salad and a choice of Chateubriand or salmon. The guests then received wedding cake and petit fours.
I wore an ivory A-line ballgown. It hit my body at all of the right spots and was extremely slimming. It showed off my arms and back, and had a jeweled belt at the waist. I wasn’t a fan of the tight gowns and the owner of the bridal store said she had something that might look good. When I stepped out of the dressing room, the whole store stopped to look. It was also very comfortable.
My favorite moment was walking into the church and hearing the bridal march being played. I saw my family and Mike’s family. I also loved the way my husband looked at me during that moment.
I couldn’t live without a top-shelf open bar. Weddings are a time to celebrate and everyone should enjoy delicious alcohol.
Covid hit and changed all of our plans.

Don’t worry about the small stuff, since you never know what will happen. Everything happens for a reason, so don’t be too upset if plans change. However, it’s ok to cry.
We have it planned to go to Sandals in the Bahamas. Due to Covid, we have not yet gone.
