John & Caroline
Caroline and John got married on August 29, 2025 at The Albion Summit.
Their Story
“We met like any modern couple—on the internet—and realized quickly that we shared a mutual friend,” says Caroline.

“Two days later John and I met in person for dinner and talked on the phone until 2 a.m. after the date was over. We haven’t stopped talking since!”
The Proposal
“John proposed in private at the Battlefield Park in Princeton on a warm fall day, the same place I was when I first received a message from him two years prior,” she says.

Choosing the Venue
“We always knew we wanted a non-traditional venue and liked the idea of a hotel, where no one had to leave at the end of the night,” says Caroline.

“We loved the modern-eclectic setting of Albion Summit and the fact that everything was in one place, from ceremony to after-party. It also helped that one of our dear friends made the intro!”

Details of the Day
“I’m a designer by trade, so I was beyond excited to create something for my own wedding,” says the bride.

“It was the project of a lifetime getting to design and print the entire suite of paper goods, including invitations, escort cards, signage and illustrated bandanas given out during our dance party.”
“We had so much fun deciding every detail together, even down to our green wedding cake! We leaned into a fun chartreuse green and paired it with summery motifs and floral illustrations, scanned from a book on botanicals, which we used for our escort cards and layered signage.”

“Our flowers were such an exciting part for us too—we wanted our party to feel like a ‘swanky garden’, so my mom and I collected giant ferns over the summer to use as aisle decor and repurposed them into the reception space. Our florist SimplyCole brought our vision to life, adorning the brick fireplace with greenery that became the perfect ceremony backdrop.
Favorite Moment
“We spent our early afternoon just down the road from the Albion at the Reeves Reed Arboretum in Summit, where we took portraits in their beautiful gardens,” says Caroline.
“Our favorite moments unfolded during the ceremony. It was officiated by my oldest brother, James, a writer and English teacher with a true gift for sentiment. Having him prelude our vows was incredibly meaningful, and I remember feeling the entire room fill with emotion.”

“Sharing our promises in front of everyone we love felt surreal, and we’re grateful to have had it all captured by Haley Mae Photo & Film. Every word will stay with us forever!”
Wedding Day Attire
“I wore a two-piece Justin Alexander gown with sheer gloves by Cornelia James. John wore a custom green suit embroidered with our initials and a silk floral lining that matched our designs.”

Honeymoon
“We left for Paris and the South of France a few days after our wedding and spent two weeks enjoying the city, country and sea!”
