Danielle and Jack tied the knot on October 8, 2023 at Stone House.
“I had been mulling over for months where to propose to Dani,” says Jack. “I wanted it to be a place that would be special and meaningful.”
“When my dad passed away in 2021 from cancer, his friends and local elected officials made a concerted effort to rename a large wildlife preserve in Middlesex County, that he had helped save and protect, after him,” he says. “When the sign was unveiled in the fall of 2021, Danielle asked me why I had never taken her through the Preserve. I instantly knew it was where I intended to ask her to marry me.”
“The day I proposed, I took her down one of the paths while my younger brother hid behind trees to take pictures,” says Jack. “I was so nervous I didn’t even say the speech I had planned to say to her. Thankfully for me, she said ‘yes.’ I rallied our friends and my family to also come and surprise her afterward. ”
Danielle and Jack’s fall wedding at Our Lady of the Mount Chapel, followed by a reception at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge embodied classic elegance and timeless beauty.
They were captivated by the Grand Ballroom’s charm, graced with beautiful chandeliers, and the inviting outdoor space adjacent to the ballroom.
Their day featured a Catholic nuptial mass, signature cocktails, a cherished family tradition of drinking from a balanced scale cup, a heartwarming mariachi band serenade during dinner, and a sweet “Happy Birthday” serenade to the maid of honor before the cake cutting.
Their choice of flowers including tulips, roses, hydrangea, and dahlias, perfectly captured the romantic and elegant atmosphere they aimed to create for their special day.
“Right before I walked down the aisle, I was very anxious,” says Danielle. “As soon as I saw Jack and I was next to him, my stomach completely settled and I was calm.”
“I loved how my mother-in-law came out when we were talking pictures during cocktail hour and said that I was going to love seeing everything inside—and did I!’ says Danielle. “It was amazing seeing everything come together. Our first dance was a hit and I loved hearing everyone’s cheers.”
“I was hanging out with my groomsmen all morning,” says Jack. “They were helping me relax, but as it got closer to the ceremony, I became more nervous. When I was standing at the altar, I watched Danielle walk down with her dad and all my anxiety and stress from the past several months just washed out of me.”
“Danielle and I had been practicing our first dance for about a month—she choreographed everything,” says Jack. “The real thing was the best we had done, and when we finished, my siblings and family couldn’t believe what they had seen. We were both glad we could surprise everyone, considering my dancing skills are almost nonexistent.”
“Our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be,” says Lindsey. “We were so happy to finally be getting married. We wanted everyone to have fun and enjoy themselves, and we think we definitely accomplished that! We are so excited to start the rest of our lives together as Mr. and Mrs. Barnes!”
