Alexis and AJ wed on September 22, 2023 at the Park Château Estate & Gardens in East Brunswick. The duo met in 2017 through friends, and started off as pals before things turned romantic. After just a few months of dating, Alexis was offered a job in Washington, DC, and the couple gave a long distance relationship a chance.
“Everything works out though, because in the two years that I lived in DC, AJ would surprise me on weekends with my favorite flowers and we’d quickly find a love for the cobblestone streets in Old Town Alexandria, late-night dinners in Georgetown, exploring historic monuments, and, of course, Washington Capitals hockey games,” she says.
“In September 2021, I moved back to New Jersey and AJ was eager to propose,” recalls Alexis. “We had gone for dinner at one of our favorite places, Bottagra Restaurant, and I couldn’t believe my eyes. As I turned the corner of the entranceway, I was shocked to find an entire private room filled with white rose petals, candles and balloons.”
“AJ forgot every line he had rehearsed but managed to say just enough to ask me to marry him. After an easy yes, I was brought outside to find a tent full of friends and family ready to party after a truly perfect proposal!”

“The Park Château completely speaks for itself. Driving through the gates you immediately feel like you are immersed in a fairytale,” says Alexis.
“An old-world, timeless atmosphere, I knew we would feel like royalty on our wedding day. As soon as we entered the chapel, I knew it was where I wanted to marry AJ. I couldn’t even make it through the rest of the tour without sobbing! We canceled the three other venue tours we had and booked with them right on the spot.”
“Timeless and effortless are two words to describe our day,” says Alexis.
The couple used light champagne and white tones to complement a bright, cool September season. White and quicksand roses were included in the bride’s bouquet to complement the 3D floral appliques of her wedding dress.
The groomsmen sported black tuxes to bring together a classic, sleek look.
“Our first look was the most memorable part of the day,” Alexis says. “We couldn’t hold back emotions as two years of planning and six years together had come to this very moment.”
“One detail I couldn’t live without was my grandmother’s pin,” the bride says. “She had unfortunately passed before I met my husband and to keep her with me on my wedding day, I was able to have her pin and picture on my bridal bouquet to honor her on my special day.”
“Remember to reflect on the vows you made on your wedding day and use it to guide your actions and decisions. Because, where love is leading the way, it can only lead to great things.”
The couple spent their honeymoon in Aruba, staying at the Ritz-Carlton.
