Jacquelyn and PJ got married at ICONA Windrift on May 31, 2024.
They met on Hinge during the pandemic but they knew they clicked and “had to work hard to make it work,” says Jacquelyn. After six months they decided it was the real deal and they moved to New York City together.
“Falling in love and learning about each other in the most magical city was something I wish everyone could do,” says Jacquelyn. “We have so many memories and truly felt like we grew into adults together.”

In May 2023, the couple moved to Hoboken together. It was relationship-changing and so fun to live with your best friend. After weeks of agony and impatience wanting to get engaged, PJ proposed on a Wednesday night in our living room and we shared an intimate celebratory dinner together at Sorrelina.
“After a bottle of champagne, we shared a walk on the Hoboken waterfront and took really silly photos,” says Jacquelyn. “We feel like we’ve been celebrating ever since!”

“Beach, sparkly, fun, colorful, happy, classic were our overall vibes,” says Jacquelyn. The decor featured subtle seashells and various shades of blue.
Details included linen and watercolor signage, minimalistic flowers with pops of color, retro-vibe matches, light and airy blue cheesecloth, small votive candles and saltwater taffy.
“The band was the true star of the show,” says Jacquelyn. “The food and cocktail hour with wine and cheese plates and fresh-cut prosciutto was to die for.”
“Getting married on the sand was a dream come true,” says the bride, “and the weather was absolutely perfect.
They also loved that the ICONA Windrift offers waterfront views and on-site hotel rooms, “in the center of our favorite town, [Avalon],” she adds.
“Walking down the aisle on the beach and seeing each other for the first time,” was Jacquelyn’s favorite part of the day.
“And the packed dance floor dancing the night away with the band,” she adds.
“Stay together the entire night,” says the bride. “Soak in every single moment. Who cares about the details once you’re there.”
“Have fun with everyone you love, but don’t stress too much over seeing particular people. They will come to you!”
Jacquelyn and PJ went to Punta Cana and stayed for seven days at the Secrets Cap Cana.
They opted for the higher tier experience with a butler and swim out pool. “Worth it!” says Jacquelyn. “Soak in every moment, take the midday nap, skip dinner one night if you’re not hungry. The week is yours!”
