How did you meet?
We were set up by mutual friends in high school! I was a senior at IHA and Bryan was a senior at Bergen Catholic. We both needed a prom date and because we’re both quite tall our friends thought we’d be a good match! We’ve been together ever since!

How did you get engaged?
After a family vacation in Maine, Bryan surprised me with a stop in Cape Cod. He offered me a Mentos that said “propose” on it and the next thing I knew he was down on one knee popping the question.

Details of the day!
We wanted to express ourselves and our relationship in the details of the day! The bridesmaids wore my favorite shade of seafoam green. Flowers included my favorite garden roses. Bryan chose royal blue tuxes for himself and the groomsmen. I carried an embroidered handkerchief made by Bryan’s late grandmother with our name on it with two love birds. Both families have a tradition of scratching lottery tickets at holidays so the couple made “Lucky in Love” labels for our scratch-off favors.

Why did you choose your venue?
The Art Factory was a one-of-a-kind venue that we couldn’t pass up! The industrial setting gave our day a unique old-world elegance. The International room gave us a variety of spaces including an outdoor courtyard, a patio, and an afterparty space that made the day feel like an adventure for our guests!

What was on your menu?
We served our food family-style with options including flank steak, honey pecan salmon, and pineapple salsa chicken. Our cake was made by Bryan’s stepmom and was gluten-free confetti!

All about your gown!
I wore a stunning silk Mikado ballgown with a natural waste and a lace illusion back. The dress was the perfect mix of classic with a twist and was like no other dress I had seen before (and I tried on PLENTY!).

What was your favorite moment?
Seeing all of our friends and family celebrating on the dance floor after many months of quarantine was priceless!

Did anything go wrong?
We had a few guests show up at the wrong location and ended up on the trolley with the bridal party but we made it work!

First dance song?
“Is that alright” by Lady Gaga.

Any advice for future brides?
Don’t take things too seriously – at the end of the day very few things will matter as long as you’re marrying the love of your life! The small details you obsess over will be missed by most people and may not be worth your time. Only take on a DIY project if it’s something you think YOU’LL enjoy!

Honeymoon Location?
We were originally supposed to go to Bali but because of COVID we went to Key West instead. It was lovely!
