The Proposal: It was a Wednesday night in the middle of January. After work, we met for dinner at our favorite restaurant, Hunan Taste, in Denville, NJ. Dinner was completely normal and relaxed, nothing out of the ordinary. Since we met there, we had 2 cars and – and after dinner, he sped to beat me home. When I walked into our apartment, it was dimly lit with candles and rose petals everywhere and our song was playing in the background (Hey There Delilah by the Plain White Tees). He was standing in our living room with the ring in his hand. Behind him stood a collage of pictures of us through the years (since high school). In the center of the collage a sign read “it’s always been you”. After he popped the question, we met our friends and families at a local restaurant for celebratory drinks, which Alex had arranged.

Details of your day: Being an event planner, I knew exactly what I was looking for. The Grove was a perfect place to host the wedding. The décor in the building is “contemporary transitional” so basically an old meets new style which attracted us. We outfitted our romantic, traditional wedding in a soft color scheme of ivory, blush pink and gold.
Favorite moment: Walking down the aisle hand in hand after hearing we were husband and wife and seeing all of our friends and families clapping and so happy.
Late Night Food Truck: Back at the hotel for the after party, Godfather Catering provided late night snacks for our guests including McDonalds, White Castle and Taco Bell. There were also assorted candy, donuts, coffee, water and sodas.
