“My husband and I dated in college and broke up after a year or so. Jeff had gotten into a serious accident about 5 years ago, and while he was in the hospital he reached out to me. I went to visit him and we fell in love all over again. We truly believe everything happens for a reason. Our wedding day was very emotional because of this.”
“I was (and still am) obsessed with my wedding dress! It is what I had always pictured myself walking down the aisle in. I loved everything about my dress and overall look that day. My bridesmaids wore long aqua colored satin Alfred Angelo dresses with corset ties in the back. I had two maids of honor–my cousin and my best friend.”
“Our ceremony took place at St. Theresa’s Church in Kenilworth. Both of our uncles are priests so they officiated the mass. This made our ceremony extra special!”
“The Park Savoy was beyond amazing for our reception. People are STILL talking about our wedding today! The food, atmosphere, service and quality of the venue cannot be beat. Jay G from Elite Sound Entertainment did an amazing job keeping our guests dancing the entire night!
Your favorite part:
“My favorite part was walking down the aisle. I had a lot of fun planning the wedding and the details, but I also never lost sight of the real reason we were doing all of the planning in the first place. I could not wait to see Jeff at the end of the aisle. We were both crying as we saw each other for the first time that day and that is a moment that I will never, ever forget.”
If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be?
“I wish I could have made the reception last about 5 more hours! Seriously, that would be the only change!”
Advice for other brides:
“My advice for other brides is to always take time to reflect on why you are going through the planning process. It is stressful and time consuming, but you are doing it because you have found someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with. If after every time you are stressed you remember that piece of advice, I can promise you it will make you feel better!”
