Our first date was supposed to be at a nice intimate bar, however, when I got there it turned out to be extremely noisy (to the point where we couldn’t even hear each other). Half way through the date, I realized that nice intimate bar we were supposed to be at was actually downstairs from where we were -oops. At the end of the date I wasn’t sure if I’d ever see Blaine again, even though I wanted to. A few days later I texted her asking her to dinner and the rest is history.
Three years after our first vacation together, I took her back to that very spot, got down on one knee, told her that I loved her, among other things, and asked her to marry me. She said yes!!
We wanted the tone of the day to be romantic, classic and elegant. We decided on white, gold and muted pink colors to decorate the reception. The day was perfect from the romantic details and design to the fun band (Craig Scott Band) and the good food. Putting the entire wedding day was a true collaboration, we picked everything out together. We even decided to surprise our guests with our rehearsed dance!
The Ryland Inn is unique and romantic, we love the indoor and outdoor space, the grand fire place, hard wood floors and floor to ceiling windows
Our first look and first dance.
The first look.
No, I wouldn’t change a thing!
When planning, take one step at a time because it can be overwhelming when you try to think of everything at once.
