Tara and Matt tied the knot at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm on May 29, 2022.

The couple officially began dating at Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm’s New Year’s Eve celebration in 2020. Fast-forward two years and that’s the same location where they said “I do.”

Details of the Day

Tara and Matt had a Memorial Day weekend wedding.

Equestrian touches, as the bride has been a “horse girly” her whole life, completed the day and tied the farm aesthetic together.

Tara’s family has been family friends of the Johnson family for years so choosing her wedding day venue location was easy.

In addition to having her big day at the farm, she also had her bridal shower on the property. And after the wedding, once she found out she was expecting, she also held her baby shower there too.

Choosing the Venue

Johnson’s Locust Hall Farm was a perfect fit as Tara loves the outdoors and horseback riding.

Favorite Moment

Their favorite moment was when everyone just naturally ended up outside for the sunset that evening.

“It seemed like everyone took a pause to enjoy the beauty of the farm and then we got back to dancing the night away,” says Tara.

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without

“Our favorite detail was the decor outside the bathrooms, which was an ode to NYE 2020 in the exact spot that Matt asked me to be his girlfriend officially,” says Tara. “It just meant so much to us.”

Advice For Other Couples

“Just relax and enjoy every moment of the day,” says Tara. “Don’t sweat the small stuff it won’t matter once your day is finally there. Just enjoy being surrounded by family and friends and getting to marry your best friend.”

Honeymoon

The couple went to Costa Rica where they stayed at three different resorts—Reserva Conchal, Nayara Springs, and El Mangroove.
