We met at a bar (how romantic) He was laughing at me because this really weird guy was trying to get my number and I refused to give it to him. After he left, Kevin approached me and we talked all night. He was so dreamy and still is.
He told me the night before, while I was half asleep, that he wanted to marry me. I told him to go to sleep and leave me alone. Kevin told me he never wanted to be married again so, I wrote it off. I was so mad the next day that he said that and he told me he didn’t remember saying that. So when I got home from work, I gave him the cold shoulder and when I sat on the couch with him, he said,”do you want this or not?” There was the ring. I ugly cried for awhile and finally put the ring on.
I was going for the boho bride. We wanted a really small, simple wedding. My bouquet was inspired by my love for blush colors and pampas grass. It was so perfect.
We wanted pizza! Our ceremony was in the same parking lot as Federicis. Kevin introduced me to their pizza when we started dating. I’m hooked, so it was only fitting that we go there. It just screamed Ashley and Kevin. They really do make you feel like family. The owners are the best people in the world and the pizza is amazing.
Our cake was delicious! My girl Nancy from Mad Batter designed and made it. It was WWE inspired, because, we both love wrestling. It was a three-tier cake. The top was Rice Krispies, second was chocolate cake with coffee buttercream, third was funfetti with cookies and cream buttercream.
I walked into David’s Bridal and my dress was the first dress I saw and it was also on my favorites list. I put it on and I didn’t love it at first but my best friend came in and said let me clip the dress for you and let’s see it a different way and I felt this unbelievable love. That was it. I didn’t need to see anything else. We turned the dress into a mermaid for dress and it was so gorgeous.
Saying “I do” to Kevin.
Having my dad walk me down the aisle. I didn’t know if they had a spot for us to walk down and they did. It was great.
I didn’t eat much.
Enjoy it. Details are minuscule compared to that “I do” moment. You will never feel that emotion ever again in your life. I was so calm the entire day, looking into Kevin’s eyes saying our vows was the best moment of my life. It was breathtaking. I wish that for every bride. Moral of the story, don’t lose sight of the big picture for a big wedding.
Nowhere. Stupid COVID-19 but trust me we plan on going for our one year anniversary and it is going to be epic.
