An Elegant Black and White Aesthetic Added to a Romantic Day

Posted on January 16, 2025 by New Jersey Bride

Angelica and Nick tied the knot on February 16, 2024, at The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor.

Their Story

Nick and Angelica met in 2013 at their senior prom after-party in Wildwood “and from that moment on we were inseparable!”

“We have been together almost 11 years and it has been the best journey of our lives,” says Angelica.

The Proposal

“There’s no way Nick could’ve fooled me,” admits Angelica. “Ao of course he had to propose on his birthday!”

“Talk about him being the most selfless guy,” she says. “We took the NJ transit into NYC for lunch and a walk in Central Park, where Nick had a photographer waiting for us.”

“It really was an out of body experience,” she says about Nick popping the question. “All I remember saying was, ‘Oh my God, Nick, right here? Oh my god, is this happening?'”

Immediately after Nick proposed, Angelica was so excited to call both of their families.

“When we got home he told me we were going to swing by my Nonna’s house to surprise her,” says Angelica. “Little did I know we were walking into our surprise engagement party with all our closest family and friends—just priceless.”

Details of the Day

Their elegant wedding day vibe was punctuated with a black and white aesthetic. They were going for a very “classic and modern romantic” look with baby’s breath and candles incorporated throughout the decor.

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without

Angelica loved the sleeves on her dress.

“My dress was the first dress I tried on. When you know you know!”

“And when I added the sleeves to this gorgeous Seng Couture dress it was end game!”

Advice for Other Couples

“Enjoy every moment because it’s over so fast,” says Angelica.

Honeymoon

The 23-hour flight was worth it for a honeymoon exploring Bali, Indonesia.

“The views, the beaches, the people you meet, the kindness—I know the flight can look intimidating but just do it! You will never be on your honeymoon ever again!” says Angelica.
