Details of the day: Leading up to my wedding, the weather forecast was calling for 90-100% chance of showers all day. No bride wants this, however I do believe in if it rains on your wedding day, it is good luck. Well, the day turned out to be absolutely gorgeous! Sun was shining and not a cloud in the sky. I couldn’t wait to put on my dream dress and walk down that aisle to my future husband! My dress was designed by Danielle Caprese. I had the ultimate dream wedding dress shopping experience at Kleinfeld that I will never forget. My dress was ball gown, the style no one ever pictured me in. From the moment I walked down that aisle with my mom, to saying our “I’Do’s”, pictures in the park (when it started to rain) to our celebration at our venue- everything was absolutely perfect. It’s amazing how after all of this planning, my visions came to life that day. It truly was a magical fairy tale wedding.

Your favorite part: My favorite part was definitely when the doors to the church opened and my eyes immediately went to my husband. Seeing him waiting for me at the altar was a feeling I can never explain. Another favorite part of our wedding was my butterfly release. My father passed away, so him not being able to walk me down the aisle and being with us that day was very hard for us all. But, he was there with us in spirit. We had a butterfly release at the church in honor of my dad. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.

If you could change one thing about your wedding what would it be? Extending our celebration. Time goes by so fast, you don’t realize what time it is. By the time we said hello to everyone, it was time for dessert and then in a blink of an eye, our wedding was over. I would have liked to dance a little bit more, so I feel like a little more extra time would have been good.

Advice for other brides: Take a few moments and enjoy what is going on around you. My husband and I made sure we sat at our sweetheart table and actually ate our meals. Every single guest is there for YOU, to celebrate your love and the new chapter of your life that just began. Take in the vision of having every one you love in one place at the same time. It will probably never happen again, so make sure you enjoy it!
