Amy Fallahee to Morgan Fahey

Amy gets a little bit sad when she thinks about the day she married Morgan Fahey. Not because anything went wrong, but because everything went so right. “I just wish the day would have never ended—and would love to be able to repeat it,” says Amy. “It was perfect.” While they were planning this perfect day, the couple knew they wanted a relaxed, fun atmosphere. A beach wedding seemed ideal, so they opted for the Seabright Beach Club in Sea Bright for their reception on October 6, 2007. Amy’s strapless, modified A-line dress by Jim Hjelm, with a simple sash as its only adornment, was exactly what she had imagined. “I think it may have been the third or fourth dress I tried on,” says Amy, “and as soon as I tried it on, I just knew this was the one.” Her bridesmaids wore dresses from J. Crew—Amy selected the color, her attendants selected the style. And the relaxed look carried through to the groomsmen, who were dressed in Brooks Brothers khakis and navy blazers, with four-leaf clover ties. After the ceremony, the couple and their 200 guests headed to the Seabright Beach Club. “When I walked into the reception,” says Amy, “it just blew me away. I saw all our friends enjoying themselves, and the room was just beautiful.” White Japanese lanterns hung over the dance floor, and there were raffia accents and starfish throughout the room. The centerpieces, in different shaped glass vases, featured lady’s slipper orchids, cala lilies, dendrobium and cymbidium orchids, fiddle-head fern, sweet peas, polo and green roses, and textural components in chartreuse, white, and orange. They were complemented by pillar and votive candles. Guests feasted on appetizers including a raw bar with homemade sushi, jumbo shrimp, and fresh-shucked oysters. The dinner buffet included dry-rubbed grilled steak, applewood-smoked turkey, and lots of sides, and it was followed by a vanilla cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. Even after all of the planning that went into the day, one of Amy’s favorite moments was a complete surprise to her—when Morgan joined the band to serenade her with “How Sweet It Is.” “I just looked at him. I was so happy that I was going to spend the rest of my life with the man that I loved,” says Amy. After a honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple is living in Red Bank.
