Julia and John tied the knot on July 11, 2025, at Icona Diamond Beach.

Their Story

John and Julia are lucky enough to be a true Bumble success story! From Phillies games and Jersey Shore getaways to hiking local trails with their gentle giant of a Bullmastiff, Butkus, they’re always planning our next adventure.

“What we love most about our relationship is our unwavering support for each other,” says Julia. “We are always each other’s best teammates and have each other’s backs.”

The Proposal

Over time, traveling became their love language. Last summer, they set off on a European journey through Amsterdam, Greece, Croatia, and Italy.

One beautiful morning in Dubrovnik, Croatia (better known to Game of Thrones fans as King’s Landing) John got down on one knee and proposed, turning an already incredible trip into the most magical vacation they could have imagined.

The day was centered around a baby blue color scheme, accompanied by a babies breath wedding arch, table seating cards inspired by New Jersey beach tags, and blue and white reception table decor.

Choosing the Venue

“Our wedding at ICONA Diamond Beach was a dream come true from start to finish,” says Julia.

Favorite Moment

“One of our favorite memories was slipping away with the photographers to the water’s edge at sunset,” says Julia.

“After hours of dancing and celebrating, those few minutes of laughter, kisses, and breathtaking scenery gave us a chance to pause and just be together.”

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without

Julia wore her late grandmother’s earrings and had a part of her grandmother’s wedding dress sewn into hers.

“Our tip for future couples is to find a moment like slipping away for sunset portraits on your wedding day,” says Julia. “Step away from the crowd, take a deep breath, and soak in the magic of it all.”
