Ashley and Andrew tied the knot on September 12, 2025 at Oyster Point Hotel.

Their Story

Andrew and Ashley met at a mutual friend’s house in May 2023.

“I was there to visit and catch up with my good friend, while Andrew was there playing a board game with my friend’s husband,” says Ashley.

“A few months went by and our paths crossed again online, and we decided to go on our first date in July.”

Andrew, who was living in Belmar at the time, brought Ashley to Columns where they bonded over their love for the beach and tacos.

“As we sat together enjoying our food, gazing out to the water, I had this overwhelming feeling of peace and knew I had found the person I would spend the rest of my life with,” says Ashley.

The Proposal

On February 23, 2025, a day that was warmer than usual for this month, with tones of orange, brown and yellow in the sky, Andrew brought Ashley to their favorite place: the beach at sunset and asked her to be his wife.

“The easiest ‘yes,’ I have ever said,” she recalls.

Choosing the Venue

In May 2025, they toured the Oyster Point Hotel and found that they had one Friday night in September available. “How luck were we!” says Ashley. “We pulled off a wedding within four months and truly had the best day. It was magical and everything fell into place.”

“Food, views and flexibility were very important to us when searching for a venue and Oyster Point had all of that,” says Ashley.

“Rachel and her team were great to work with and made everything so easy. We really wanted a venue on the water for our guests to enjoy, with a balcony. Our whole relationship had so many pivotal moments while at or near the beach and it just felt right.”

“We also were confident in the food that would be served at Oyster Point, and we were not disappointed,” she adds.

“Our guests are still talking about how great everything was!”

Details of the Day

They decided to go with a neutral mauve, cream and blush color palette.

Sunset Florist “understood the vibe that I wanted to achieve with a soft, wispy, whimsical theme, which complimented the Oyster Point aesthetic very well,” says Ashley. “We did a variety of candles, bud vases and gold pedestal vases.”

The cocktail hour was plentiful with so many different options to choose from. Their menu consisted of a tomato and mozzarella tower, a Jersey fresh seasonal salad and for dinner, the choices were salmon, filet mignon or herb roasted chicken breast.

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without

The photobooth! “Our guests enjoyed it so much and we have so many pictures of them from it,” says the bride.

Favorite Moment

“My favorite moment was taking photos in between our ceremony and the reception,” says Ashley. “We had a two-and-a-half-hour gap, so we had time to take couples portraits and family photos.”

“Once the family photos were completed, we had almost two hours to take photos together in various spots. It was great to have this time together. We really got to soak in the ‘just married’ moments.”

Wedding Day Attire

Ashley wore a laced, form fitting gown that came with a long train/skirt that attached to the top and could be removed for the reception.

Advice For Other Couples

“Be sure to stay true to who you are as a couple and individually while planning your wedding,” says Ashley. “Make the day yours and do what makes you happy. Enjoy every moment as it goes by so fast!”
