Nick & Aislinn
Aislinn and Nick got married at Bonnet Island Estate on August 24, 2025.
Their Story
Aislinn and Nick first met through mutual friends in 2009 as freshmen at Wagner College.
“College was a whirlwind of discovery, late-night talks, and learning who we were meant to be,” says Aislinn. “Through it all, Nick was a constant—steadfast, caring, endlessly kind. In a time when everything was new and uncertain, he made me feel safe, seen, and deeply understood.”

They parted ways but stayed in touch.
“For almost nine years, through quiet messages and spontaneous visits, we were never really far from one another,” says Aislinn. “Then, as if guided by something greater than coincidence, we found our way back—not just as friends, but as something more.”
“It felt as though the time apart had only deepened our connection. Since that moment, we’ve been inseparable—two hearts rediscovered, stronger and more certain than ever before.”

The Proposal
Quietly, behind the scenes, Nick gathered all of their closest family and friends, and together they transformed the backyard of Aislinn’s childhood home into something out of a dream.

The space was lined with hundreds of white roses—some delicately hanging from the trees above, others carefully placed along the garden path. Soft candlelight flickered all around, casting a warm, golden glow as the sun began to dip below the horizon.
“It was like stepping into a storybook—intimate, magical, timeless,” says Aislinn.
And there, at the heart of it all, was Nick—waiting with a ring and a heart full of love.
Choosing the Venue
For the couple, Bonnet Island Estate was more than just a venue—it was a place that immediately felt like home.

“Our choice to marry there was rooted in the deep love that Nick and his family have always had for Long Beach Island,” says Aislinn. “Growing up, countless summers and special memories were made there, and over time, that love became something we shared together.”
When they toured Bonnet Island Estate for the first time, everything aligned.
“The cozy, welcoming atmosphere… the elegant, airy spaces filled with light… the timeless feel of being both luxurious and homey all at once—it was everything we had dreamed of, and more,” says Aislinn.

“What made it even more special was how seamlessly it brought together everything we envisioned for our day: a beautiful setting by the water, the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor spaces, and rooms onsite where our closest family members could stay and wake up together the next morning.”
“But what truly set Bonnet Island apart was the people. Every person we met throughout the planning process made us feel not just cared for—but embraced, like family. The thoughtfulness, warmth, and attention to detail was felt in every moment, and we knew we were in the best hands.”
Details of the Day
From the very beginning, they envisioned an aesthetic that felt airy and coastal, infused with vibrant color and gentle elegance.

“One of our favorite touches was a custom watercolor painting of Bonnet Island Estate,” says Aislinn. “This painting became a visual thread woven throughout the celebration—it adorned our invitations as a delicate wrap band, appeared subtly on the bottoms of our menus, and added a personal, heartfelt touch that captured the charm of the place we fell in love with.”
“To bring our floral vision to life, we handpicked a palette of bright blooms that echoed the soft pinks and sunny yellows worn by my childhood friends,” says Aislinn. “The florals added vibrancy and playfulness while still feeling refined, perfectly complementing the soft coastal breeze and natural beauty of Bonnet Island.”

Detail They Couldn’t Live Without
One of the most cherished details was Aislinn’s wedding band, created from the diamonds that once belonged to her late aunt.
“She was such a special part of my life, and though she couldn’t be with us physically, we felt her presence in every step of the day,” says Aislinn. “Wearing a piece of her close to my heart was a quiet, powerful reminder that love endures—and that she was with us, celebrating right alongside everyone else.”
Wedding Day Attire
“The moment I slipped my dress on, I felt a wave of certainty. It was the one,” says Aislinn. “Underneath, a soft crepe foundation created clean lines and a perfect silhouette, while a textured organza overlay gave it movement, dimension, and that ethereal quality I had always dreamed of. A subtle twist at the front added a touch of unexpected elegance—just enough to set it apart in the most timeless way. And the train… graceful, refined, and classic. It floated behind me like a quiet whisper of romance.”

“To complete the look, I wore a custom-made veil—handcrafted by a talented seamstress and adorned with delicate, petite pearls that mirrored the back necklace and earrings Nick had so thoughtfully chosen for me.”
Nick’s look was timeless yet distinctive. His custom blue tux felt elegant but also reflected the coastal charm of their wedding day.

Aislinn’s bridesmaids dressed in bright, cheerful colors that perfectly complement the flowers and the overall elegance of the day.
“Rather than a traditional bridal party with matching dresses, we wanted something fresh, vibrant, and reflective of each person’s unique spirit,” she says.
Advice For Other Couples
“One of the most important pieces of advice we’d share with other couples is to take time for each other on your wedding day,” says Aislinn. “In the whirlwind of celebration, take a step back together and simply soak in the view—the joy, the love, the people who have come to celebrate you both.”

“Watch your closest friends and family as they mingle, laugh, and share in the happiness filling the room. These moments are priceless.”
Honeymoon
This April, they’re heading to the breathtaking Italian Riviera and the Amalfi Coast. “We can’t wait to soak up the sun, savor incredible food, and create countless beautiful memories together,” says Aislinn.
