Luke & Emily
Emily and Luke got married on May 25, 2025 at ICONA Avalon.
Their Story
It was love at first smile for Emily Orr and Luke Camagna, who both work in the dental field (Emily as a hygienist, Luke as a dentist).

A chance work-related run-in at his office brought them together in September 2021, and they made things official as a couple shortly after.

The Proposal
Emily and Luke had been together for about two years when he popped the question during a romantic trip to Italy. “It was a complete shock,” Emily says of the moment Luke got down on one knee at a picturesque spot in Florence.
Details of the Day
Emily, who grew up going to Cape May, had always dreamed of having a beach wedding. The waterfront ICONA Avalon provided the perfect backdrop for Emily’s “girly, coastal-chic” vision on May 25, 2025.

Decor included sunny pastel florals and several sophisticated coastal-inspired elements, such as subtle shell details, small painted boats throughout the reception (which Emily’s mother, an artist, painted after the bride bought them on Facebook Marketplace) and a unique sailboat seating chart.

The couple’s mini goldendoodle, Buddy, posed for photos with the duo in a pup tux, and his presence was felt throughout the day with the Buddy Spritz as a signature cocktail and drink stirrers featuring his sweet face.

Wedding Day Attire
Emily wore two dresses on the big day.
Her strapless Maggie Sottero ball gown for the ceremony was a steal at just $300 off the sample sale rack at Bijou Bridal in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. “My mom and I were were both like, ‘Yep, we’re going home with this,’” Emily says with a laugh.

Her reception dress, by Milla Nova, was a more “glam and glitzy” design featuring beautiful floral appliqué. Luke, meanwhile, dressed to impress in a light-blue suit featuring a lining with photos of the couple and their dog.

The bridesmaids made a statement in dresses they chose. Emily asked three of her bridesmaids to wear pink and three to wear blue, and they ended up picking a mix of florals and solids that coordinated beautifully.

The groomsmen donned tan suits with half of the guys wearing blue ties and half in light-pink ties.
Detail They Couldn’t Live Without
Emily’s mother presented her daughter with a meaningful gift on the morning of the wedding: a custom painting of Emily in her gown and veil.

Emily’s mom, who had created bridal illustrations for clients in the past, hadn’t made a piece in years before Emily’s wedding.
“It was beautiful to see she still had it, and honestly it was the most beautiful illustration I had ever seen her do,” Emily says. “It couldn’t have looked more like myself.”
Advice For Other Couples
“Enjoy the process,” advises Emily. “It can be very stressful, but when the day comes, it’s going to be beautiful. All that crying and stress leading up to it is going to go right out the window.”

Honeymoon
After a honeymoon to France and Spain, Emily, 28, and Luke, 33, are at home in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania.
