She Sat Behind Him in Geometry Class—16 Years Later, They Had a Classy Christmas Vibes Wedding at the Mill Lakeside Manor

Casey and Alex went to the same high school, graduated in the same class of 2006, and Casey even sat directly behind Alex in Geometry sophomore year—and yet it took a Bumble match in 2022 to finally bring them together. Their January 2, 2026 wedding at The Mill Lakeside Manor, photographed by Limelight Entertainment, was the perfect setting for a celebration as warm and intimate as the love story behind it. From the moment they first visited the venue, Casey and Alex were won over by its family feel, stunning lakeside setting, and the cocktail hour guests are still talking about. They leaned into classy Christmas elegance throughout—and spent their favorite moment of the whole night simply sitting at the sweetheart table, looking out at every person they love most, all in one room, having the time of their lives.

Their Story

Alex swiped right on Casey, Casey swiped right on Alex…and they matched! The rest is Bumble history! A fun fact about this couple: they both graduated from Freehold Township High School in 2006. In fact, Casey sat behind Alex in Geometry sophomore year! Many years went by until the couple reconnected online in 2022.

The Proposal

On one of their many new adventures, Alex took Casey to Cape May on 12/21/24 to confirm if it really did look like a Hallmark Christmas movie (spoiler alert: it does!). He got down on one knee in front of the biggest Christmas tree in town, as well as a large crowd of tourists, and asked Casey if she would marry him. She cried and said yes!

“We fell in love with The Mill Lakeside Manor the first time we visited,” says Casey. “The venue is warm, intimate, has a cocktail hour that guests talk about for years to come and it really feels like a family. It was obvious to us from day one that The Mill truly wants the bride, the groom and their families to be completely cared for on the big day!”
