Baby’s Breath Surrounded the Chandeliers at This Snowy Winter Ryland Inn Wedding
Alyssa and David got married on January 19. 2025, at The Ryland Inn.
Their Story
It was a Sunday, it was a fun day. Some would say it was a Sunday Funday at D’Jais. David was inside with his friends, and Alyssa was outside with hers. Not knowing who each other were, but that was about to change.
David came outside to say hello to some other friends, and they locked eyes. Alyssa then went to the bathroom with her friend and, as legend has it, she asked “Who’s that kid Dave? He’s hot!” David was indeed hot, but there was more to him than just a pretty face.
When Alyssa got back, they talked for the rest of the day, which was followed by him sliding into her DMs the following Thursday, then a first date, then officially dating on September 6. And the rest…well that’s history!
The Proposal
On June 4, 2023, David proposed to Alyssa during what was planned as a Father’s Day brunch at the Stone House on Staten Island.
It was a beautiful day, the sun was out, and family was gathered together, all in on the surprise. With everyone they love around them, David turned the brunch into a truly special moment and made the day unforgettable by asking Alyssa to spend forever with him.
It ended up being one of the happiest and most meaningful days they’ve shared.
Choosing the Venue
“We fell in love with the Ryland Inn the moment we stepped onto the property,” says Alyssa. “It has this perfect balance of classic elegance and warmth that instantly felt special but still felt like us.”
“The setting is timeless and beautiful, the food is truly unforgettable, and the staff made us feel completely taken care of from day one.”
“Every detail felt thoughtful, personal, and effortless, which made it easy to picture celebrating one of the biggest days of our lives there. Choosing the Ryland Inn felt natural, like everything fell into place, and we couldn’t imagine beginning our marriage anywhere else.”
Details of the Day
“Our wedding day was everything we hoped for—timeless, romantic, and just so us,” says Alyssa. “We went for a classic look with soft gold accents, mirrors as details, roses, baby’s breath, and white anemones.”
“Everything felt thoughtful but effortless. Since we both love Frank Sinatra, having a live singer during cocktail hour was a must, and it set the perfect vibe for the day.”
“To honor our Italian heritage, we gave guests traditional wedding favors of five Jordan almonds wrapped in tulle, representing health, wealth, happiness, fertility, and longevity. We also had a live artist creating illustrations of our guests throughout the celebration.”
“Surrounded by the people we love, it was an unforgettable day full of warmth, laughter, and all the little details that made it so personal.”
