An Epic Signature Cocktail Wall at This Winter Wedding at The Meadow Wood

Meadow Wood

Amanda and Gianni got married at the Meadow Wood on January 15, 2026. Their ballroom wedding was timeless and elegant with all-white flowers everywhere and candles. To complete the chic color palette, the bridesmaids wore black dresses. A detail that we love is their signature cocktail wall. Guests rang a bell and were handed a cocktail through an opening in the wall—a fun way to keep guests entertained!

Their Story

Gianni and Amanda met at 15 years old at a basement party, but didn’t speak. “Ten years later I actually messaged him, which was so out of the norm for me, because something was telling me I needed to speak to him again after all this time,” she explains.

“He left me on delivered for five days…then he finally responded and after messaging back and forth for a few weeks, he asked me on a date and we both knew it was forever.”

“We spent five hours talking and we were both so into each other neither of us even touched our food. His best friends were literally five feet away pranking us—I also knew them from 10 years ago.”

The best and last date I would ever be on,” says Amanda.

The Proposal

“Fast forward two years and Gianni bought my engagement ring, asked my dad for my permission, and the very next day I wasn’t feeling like myself and I found out I was pregnant,” says Amanda.

“We were both shocked but so excited to start our family and then a few days later he had my friends trick me into thinking we were going out on a girls day to dinner. They brought me to a restaurant on the water and when we got outside, there was a dock with rose petals and candles and at the end, there was Gianni bawling his eyes out.”

He gave me a long speech but I blacked out because we both cried the whole time and then he asked me to marry him. There was never an easier yes for me.

Choosing the Venue

“We looked at so many venues and when we walked into the Meadow Wood it just felt exactly like Gianni and I in a venue,” says Amanda. “We just pictured ourselves getting married there and our son witnessing it and there was no question from either of us.”

Details of the Day

“I am a neutral girl so I always envisioned since I was 13 years old making my Pinterest board of all-white flowers, flowers everywhere, a dress with sleeves, long curly hair, black bridesmaid dresses, pork roll, egg and cheese as favors because we are big foodies, and the best shape of my life.”

“We wanted to do something unique and different for cocktail hour so instead of the signature drink sign in the bar, we wanted a sip wall that the guests could ring and mine and Gianni’s signature drink would come out.” Amanda’s drink was an espresso martini and Gianni’s was a pineapple margarita.

Favorite Moment

“My favorite moment was when we were on the party bus coming from the church to the venue for cocktail hour/ reception,” says Amanda. “Once we got in the party bus, I looked around me. With my son so happy, my husband so happy, my friends and family, and I broke down into tears. Nothing in the world beats being surrounded by just pure love. I was so grateful that the little details that went wrong meant nothing.”

Wedding Day Attire

“I am very extra so I wore a Calla Blanche dress but I took parts of three dresses to make mine. I took sleeves off of one dress, an over skirt off another, and added it to a dress to create my dream dress.”

The bridesmids had black off-the-shoulder satin dresses and my husband and son wore velvet black tuxes.

Advice For Other Couples

“Always date each other,” says Amanda. “When you have kids, the mother always loses herself and it takes a really amazing husband to remind her of her beauty, her grace, and to always pick her up when she is doubting herself.”

“You won’t always have endless time together, but always remember why you fell in love. It started with you.”

Honeymoon

The newlyweds went to Aruba and we did everything. “We ate everything in sight. Tried all the drinks, laughed together, went to the private islands, fed the flamingos and just relaxed.”
