Favorite part of my job
“I got married in New Jersey in 2016 (at the Ryland Inn). With some distance from my wedding, I’m able to look back on the planning process with some new perspective, which I hope I can impart on other New Jersey brides.”

Jacqueline Larcara, Editor

Jacqueline Larcara (née Klecak) followed her passion for magazine writing by launching her reporting and editing career at New Jersey Monthly, where she focused on arts and entertainment coverage. After five years of telling the stories of innovative arts leaders and institutions in the Garden State, she joined the marketing team at the South Orange Performing Arts Center. In 2023, she returned to her writing and editing roots as the Editor of New Jersey Bride. Jacqueline’s unique perspective as a recent bride (she got married at Mayfair Farms in 2021) helps New Jersey couples plan their special day. Feel free to reach out to her at jlarcara@newjerseybride.com.

Favorite part of my job
“Between the high-energy dance floors and endless cocktail hour food stations, I have to say—no one does weddings like New Jersey couples! I adore weddings so much because everyone has a unique way of expressing and celebrating their love. I love seeing those special details.”

Lynn A. Ruane, Art Director

Lynn Ruane started her magazine career at New Jersey Monthly in 1986 as a Graphic Designer and she still holds that position today. She has been the Art Director of New Jersey Bride since 1994.

Favorite part of my job
“I’ve alway enjoyed working on NJB, from going on cover shoots to designing the issue. The bridal industry is always changing and it’s fun to see the new trends in every aspect. NJB is about love, beauty and celebration—what could be a better thing to be involved in?”

Susan Brierly Bush, Style Editor

Susan Brierly Bush covers fashion, beauty and decor for New Jersey Bride and New Jersey Monthly magazines. She is also a photo stylist and Instagram influencer at @susanbrierlybush. Susan’s first wedding was rather formal and traditional. But when she remarried in 2014, she walked down a grassy aisle wearing a Free People dress crocheted in a daisy pattern, popped fresh daisies in her hair and danced the night away to 1960s and 1970s classics.

Favorite part of my job
“I enjoy keeping up with all the latest bridal-industry trends. The best part about getting married in New Jersey is having so many world-class options in your own backyard. Some of the country’s finest wedding venues, bridal gown shops, entertainers, floral designers and bakeries are within easy reach to ensure that your big day is just as fabulous as you always dreamed!”

Madison Smith, Social Media Strategist

Madison Smith began her career in social media strategy after graduating from James Madison University in 2020. She joined the New Jersey Bride team in 2023 and continues to apply her knowledge and skills into growing this brand. As a former maid of honor, Madison knows how to navigate the ins and outs of wedding planning.

Favorite part of my job
“Definitely has to be moderating the New Jersey Bride Private Facebook Group! I love listening and helping the brides in this group during their journey of wedding planning. As we all know, this can be a stressful yet exciting time in your life.”
