Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

Pete and I were introduced by a mutual friend that I’ve known for close to 30 years. He gave our phone numbers to each other and we started texting. About two weeks later, we met at Yankee Stadium for our first date and have been together ever since!Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

We decided to have a barbecue at our house with our immediate family. I’m guessing that Pete had it planned all along because he went all out with cooking and getting everything ready. I didn’t even notice. He proposed and we were able to celebrate with those who mean the most to us.Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

Nanina’s in the Park is a stunning venue on its own, and I did not want to take away from that. They were also decorated for the holidays, since we got married the day after Thanksgiving. We did not have a theme but kept our flowers fall colors such as dark reds, oranges, yellows and had greens like eucalyptus with the bouquets and for the centerpieces. We kept the decor very simple and had the flowers just accent the beauty of the venue. My bridesmaids all wore a wine-colored dress and the groomsmen wore a simple black tuxedo. For favors, our guests went home with a jar of Nanina’s in the Park sauce.Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

I knew I wanted to get married at Nanina’s in the Park the moment I walked in for my tour. The venue is stunning and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We had attended a wedding at The Park Savoy, so Nanina’s was first on my list of venues to tour with my mom. We knew the food would be delicious and the staff would be accommodating, so we knew we had to have our dream wedding there!Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

For cocktail hour, there was so much to choose from including a mozzarella station to an Asian food station. Our guests were able to choose from a choice of four main entrees which included chateaubriand, chicken saltimbocca, grilled salmon and eggplant parmesan. All entrees came with a bundle of seasoned vegetables and Nanina’s delicious parmesan crusted potatoes. We had many guests that had dietary restrictions and Nanina’s went above and beyond to accommodate them. Our guests are still raving about how delicious the food was!Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

Before I went shopping, I knew I wanted a wedding dress that had lace and beading. In my opinion, my dress had the perfect amount of both and the straps were also beaded. I am a curvy girl and wanted something that would hug my hips. I think my dress checked off all the boxes I wanted it to!Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

Our favorite moment was after the ceremony, we were brought to the bridal suite to eat, talk and laugh with one another. Just having that down time together really made us happy. We were also able to walk to the ballroom to see it converted for the reception and we were speechless.Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

I was a laid back, calm bride. I tried to have everything booked in advance so I did not feel rushed as the wedding got closer. Our families really helped bring everything together and I can’t thank them enough.Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park

Not that I know of. If something did, everyone did a good job of not telling me about it.Robyn and Pete at Naninas In the Park
