How did you meet? We met on the train on a weeknight from 33rd street station in New York City to Hoboken, NJ. It was very random. I barely made it onto the train, as the doors almost closed, and the only seat open on the packed train was next to him! I would say, it was meant to be. We began chatting and he asked for my phone number. We went on a romantic dinner date overlooking the Manhattan skyline the following week! From there things really took off. During our first date, he was so easy to talk to and it was really refreshing to enjoy a nice meal and great conversation, that’s so important to me.

Where did you get engaged? Chart House Weehawken, NJ

Your engagement story! We were engaged during a beautiful night at the Chart House in Weehawken, NJ. After a delicious and romantic meal, he ordered my favorite chocolate Godiva cake. As the cake came to the table, he suddenly pulled out the most gorgeous silver box with a white bow, inside was a beautiful cushion-cut ring. And said, “Will you be with me forever?” It was a wonderful night! We sipped cocktails overlooking the skyline for the rest of the night.

About your engagement shoot: We both love Walt Disney World in Orlando and knew that for our engagement photo session we wanted to do something different. While we also love the city and the skyline, we thought that taking our photos in Florida where we have shared so many good times would be perfect! One of our first Walt Disney World vacations was at Port Orleans Riverside Resort on Walt Disney property. The resort is really charming and has that southern feel to it. We walked over to the spots where we have shared many great memories. It was nice to have a photographer capture these moments!

Of course, I had to give a little nod to Disney and wore my Alex and Ani Mickey and Minnie love bracelet and for one of the photos, I grabbed my sparkly Mickey “engagement ears.” There is something so positive about Disney, the vibes are good and we are glad we took photos while there! We are currently looking at wedding venues and excited for the planning!
