Here's a great opportunity for all of you beach and boat lovers who are looking for a fun ceremony location this coming summer: Win the chance to get married on the A.J. Meerwald, New Jersey's official tall ship, on Saturday, July 25, as she docks at Beach Haven on Long Beach Island.
2009 is the "Year of the Tall Ship" and the A.J. Meerwald will be making a special trip from Liberty State Park, sailing along all the New Jersey beaches to make a first-time port of call at Beach Haven and to welcome a special couple to get married between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.
The ceremony service will be performed by Deborah C. Whitcraft, a wedding officiant and former mayor of Beach Haven. Approximately 80 guests will be allowed on the ship's deck, and another 100 guests can witness the ceremony from the wharf.
