Designing the Most Inviting Day

Every wedding starts out with an invitation, hinting to your guests as to what’s to come. But the invite is just the tip of the stationery iceberg: there are save-the-dates, RSVP cards, envelopes, escort cards, place cards, table cards, menu cards, programs, “reserved” signs for pews, cocktail-hour and beverage signage, “in lieu of favor” cards, candy-bar signage, packaging labels for favors, rehearsal-dinner invitations, Sunday-brunch invites, maps, directions, hotel accommodation cards, and thank-you notes.

While it may seem overwhelming, Stephanie Somodi of Designing the Most Inviting Day in Little Egg Harbor explains their importance: “Having your guests get to your wedding with ease and no stress is essential.” And the suite, by providing all of the necessary details, achieves just that—especially if you’re planning an all-weekend affair. “By keeping with the same stationery designer, your wedding will have a coordinating design balance and flow throughout the event,” Somodi adds.
