With the help of Jersey Street Furniture Rentals in Clifton (973-779-7444; jsfrental), the room was transformed from traditional décor that included blue accents and fabric-covered chairs into what the color-averse bride imagined: a sleek, white and thoroughly modern space. For Alina, Jersey Street draped the walls in panels of sheer white voile, supplied white Chiavari chairs and dressed the tables in white cloths with a sheer, sparkly overlay. But what really made the room twinkle were the centerpieces: crystal trees with white orchids intertwined. “It was magical,” says Alina, 27, of Basking Ridge. “It was sparkly and white, and it was exactly how I wanted it.” Companies like Jersey Street can turn an empty hall into a fully furnished, picture-perfect party space or add key elements to an existing venue to make a space your own for the night.  

“A bride comes to us to create that atmosphere in the room,” says Jersey Street co-owner Sandy Hines. “They want their fairytale wedding. They want it like they see it on TV.”

To create each bride’s fantasy wedding, the company turns to its 16,000-square-foot warehouse filled with most everything needed for a wedding. There are tables, couches, ottomans, chairs, stools and bars in different shapes and sizes that can be covered in the fabric of the bride’s choice. The company also provides lighting. If they don’t have what it takes to make you happy, they will use their own wood, metal and floral shops to create it for you.

“We can custom-make whatever they want to make their dream wedding come true,” Hines says. “Everybody wants one-of-a-kind. It’s definitely one-of-a-kind.”

Creating a plan starts with a consultation, where Jersey Street gets to know a couple’s likes. Together, they create a floor plan and choose furniture and fabric. Jersey Street can add a bar to your reception hall to help keep people at the party, create the floral displays and provide non-floral centerpieces.

Brides work with Jersey Street one-on-one or come with their wedding planner. They all share ideas to help the bride get what she wants. And if she’s unsure, Jersey Street will show her options to help bring the vision into focus. “Either we can dream it up for you, or you can dream it up and we’ll produce it for you,” Hines says.
