Craving an extra glamorous look on your big day? Makeup expert Jeanine Mangan of Manalapan (609-213-4884; jmmakeupdesigns.com) works full-time in television doing makeup for stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Tori Spelling, Natalie Morales, and Shania Twain.

But on weekends, she works with brides who want a red-carpet look on their wedding day. “I get many, many requests for airbrushing because it’s applied as a cool mist that leaves a light, flawless finish on face, neck, and shoulders,” says Mangan. “Lips should be soft and classic with nude or light pink, and lots of clear or softly tinted gloss. Reds and berries are usually too strong for a bride.” Since eyes have to pop for the camera, Mangan likes to apply just a few individual faux lashes (not an entire strip), and she prefers subtle, smoky eye hues in taupe, brown, and mauve. “Today’s brides don’t want to feel makeup-y,” she says. “They want to look like themselves, only fresher and dewier.”
