The Grove: Couples looking for a cutting-edge, luxury wedding experience should check out The Grove in Cedar Grove (973-239-0270, thegrovenj.com), which just opened in March. This incredible 60,000-square-foot event space was built from the ground up with an impressive marble lobby, 20-foot ceilings, hand-blown Italian chandeliers, grand staircases and state-of-the-art technological equipment. There are four ballrooms, three of which connect to create a huge space, and can accommodate weddings for as many as 600. Couples can marry in one ballroom, sip cocktails in another and welcome their guests to the reception in a third. There’s only one event at a time, so the space can be used to fit your needs.

“The sound system, the lighting and the acoustics are the most up-to-date, technologically advanced in the state,” says general manager Michael Subarsky. “Most places have a really bad acoustical problem. You can’t hear yourself,” he says. “This is really like a sound studio quality. It’s a controlled sound. It’s loud but it doesn’t make it offensive so people have to leave the room or put cotton in their ears.”

And upstairs there are four dressing suites where 20 to 25 people can get ready. The per-person cost ranges from $110 to $279, which includes food and drink and amenities like valet parking. The décor is what they call contemporary transitional, signaling a new, evolving look, Subarsky says. “It’s totally different,” he says. “It’s the next level. It’s unlike anything that is out there.” And we agree. The Grove is an impressive venue, perfect for your elaborate event.

Jasna Polana Club: For years, the exclusive Jasna Polana Club in Princeton was accessible only to club members. But now there is a new way for couples to gain access. Though her company, MattisonNetwork (885-683-8299; mattisonnetwork.com), club member Deborah Lynch is bringing non-member couples to the club for their big day. “If you’re looking for a country-club wedding, it truly is the only place to have it,” says Lynch, whose company started working with the club in January. “It’s amazing. It’s romantic and everything you want if you’re looking for that mansion for the day where it’s just exclusively yours.”
