Another strong resource is etsy.com, where you can find hundreds of handmade bridal-party invitations embellished with everything from crystals to lace to ribbons. Just search under “be my bridesmaid” and prepare to be wowed.

“Bridesmaid cards follow the trend to personally connect with bridal-party attendants and make them feel included,” says Heidi Gammon, owner of Engraved Images in Far Hills (908-234-0323; engravedimages.net). She also carries versions for the maid of honor, flower girl, ring bearer and others. “I think this trend will stick around,” she says.
