When choosing flowers for your bridal bouquet, don’t feel obligated to select traditional white blossoms. We especially love how Amanda James Ferruzzi chose dark plum and hot pink for her October 16, 2010, wedding to Christopher Pedecine at the Basking Ridge Country Club in Basking Ridge. The bouquet by Jardiniere Fine Flowers in Far Hills (908-781-5600; jfineflowers.com) included plum-colored calla lilies and Yves Piaget hot-pink garden roses. “I love jewel tones and wanted something that was suitable for fall, but not your typical orange, yellow and greens,” Amanda says. She even coordinated the bridesmaids’ flowers to pop against their deep plum dresses, and matched the groom’s boutonniere to her own. The other groomsmen proudly sported a hot-pink garden rose. “I kept the calla lilies special to my husband and myself,” she adds. Such thoughtful coordination with your florist beforehand can really make a difference in your entire wedding look, and make for gorgeous wedding pictures.
