They returned a year later to marry on May 15, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Aruba in a nondenominational beachside ceremony, surrounded by 94 friends and relatives. In a strapless, off-white silk gown, a barefoot Kelly walked down the aisle on the arms of her dad and stepfather to meet Dino, in a tan suit. The bridesmaids added tropical color in above-the-knee hot-pink dresses, and the groomsmen wore tan pants and white shirts.

At the altar, Dino was instructed not to turn around to see Kelly until she had just about reached him. All the while, she worried whether he’d like her dress. But as he was finally allowed to face front, their reunion was picture-perfect. “She was so radiant and beautiful, it took my breath away,” says Dino, 33, a lawyer from Short Hills. His face said it all. “He gave such a nice smile,” says Kelly, 36, a pharmaceutical sales representative from Marlton. “It was an emotional smile.”

The couple posed for pictures during a brilliant sunset and enjoyed the outdoor reception, dancing the night away.

The destination wedding was just what the couple wanted—a ceremony that wasn’t in a church or too fancy and allowed them to spend time with loved ones. “We wanted a nice intimate wedding on the beach that was a little bit more romantic and less traditional,” Kelly says. “It couldn’t have been more perfect.” The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and now live in Manhattan.
