After two years of modeling bridal gowns, collaborating with couture designers and consulting one-on-one with brides, Nouri began sketching her own designs and then started working directly with New York–area couture dressmakers. Not surprisingly, this hands-on designer, a graduate of George Mason University, ultimately turned out her own romantic and feminine collection of white, ivory and blush gowns. Nouri’s timeless designs incorporate luxurious imported French lace and Italian silk, all handmade with great attention to detail.
Her first collection of six luxe gowns was introduced in June 2011, and Exquisite Bride in Millburn was the first salon in the United States to carry the line, with exclusive rights in the Garden State. “I am so grateful to Remy Quinones, my friend and the owner of Exquisite Bride, for giving me this opportunity,” says Nouri. “She supported me as I decided to begin my designs, and I am so lucky to have my work featured in one of the finest salons in the tri-state area.”
“Sareh Nouri has grown from a successful bridal consultant to a successful bridal-gown designer,” Quinones says. “I am very proud of the passion and attention to detail that she brings to everything that she undertakes. Brides can likewise take pride in wearing one of her amazing gowns, knowing that Sareh’s designs embody her desire to help make their wedding day truly exceptional.”
Within several months after the launch of her first collection, Nouri was surprised and delighted when salons in Maryland and Virginia began ordering her dresses, which are priced from $5,000. Nouri also has designed a series of 10 sashes in various colors with Swarovski crystals, pearls and handwork that add a couture accent to plain gowns. Sashes retail for $585 to $650.
