Wedding gown? Check. Veil? Check. Shoes? Help! With so many options, it’s no wonder many brides shop for their shoes at the last minute. But fear not. Whether you dream of a classic look to complement a traditional gown, a casual style to match a simple dress or a hip pair of show-stoppers like the Christian Louboutins pictured above, your perfect pair is out there waiting for you.

No matter the size of your budget, there’s an amazing gamut of styles and colors available in retail shops and online. Check out J.Crew’s pretty “Love-Me-Knot” peep-toe in ivory, or the strappy “Georgine” in warm shell, both reasonably priced at about $225 to $275. Or splurge a little with Jimmy Choo’s blinged-out “Vita” platform or rhinestone brooch-adorned “Samba.” These metallics are sure to make a splash on any dance floor.

One of the hippest resources is Anthropologie’s new bridal line, Bhldn (bhldn.com). There you’ll find retro-inspired styles in yummy colors, festooned with bows and flowers. Or grab a pair of cool shoe clips and instantly transform simple pumps from drab to fab. Take a gander at their “Agave” peep-toes, “Brocade D’Orsay” heels and “Beaded Brocade” slingbacks.

Sareh Nouri of Sareh Bridal Designer Shoes at Exquisite Bride in Millburn and Princeton (973-376-2770; exquisite-bride.com) says brides and bridesmaids are enjoying a vast selection of wedding shoes in satin, silk, lace and velvet, from flats to five-inch heels in styles that include closed and open toe, slingback and platforms from designers such as Benjamin Adams, Enzoani, Pink and Grace. “Right now, the hottest trend is platforms, and some of our best sellers are encrusted with Swarovski crystals,” Nouri says. “I encourage brides to wear platforms because they are sexy, comfortable and they provide great height. Although platforms can be hard to find, we carry a wide variety.”

She reports that colored shoes—those that arrive from the manufacturer as well as the dyeable variety—are also growing in popularity. “About 80 percent of my brides choose traditional ivory or white shoes, while 20 percent opt for brightly hued or funky styles,” says Nouri.

“Our strongest looks are platforms, stilettos, peep-toes, metallics and billowy ornamentation with beautiful rosettes, poufs and feathers,” says Lori Dunn, of Model Bride in Chatham (973-635-1756; modelbride.com).

“Heels are reaching new heights, and we’re seeing stiletto peep-toes as well as the three-inch peep-toes adorned with pretty brooches,” Dunn says. “But even with all these choices, most brides still go for a classic look. Metallics are also very popular because they offer a traditional look but are a little different. We sold a lot of gold and silver Badgley Mischka peep-toes within just a couple of weeks. Brides also like metallics because they can wear them over and over again.”
