Eric Joseph at Life Mosaic Studios (888-564-1081; lifemosaicstudios.com) offers these tips:

✜ Keep smiling. This sounds easy, but there are a lot of stresses on the wedding day. Prepare family and friends (especially the bridal party) to be ready as well. The advanced notice about the types of photography to expect can make a big difference on photos.

✜ Have plenty of details. Do not skimp on anything that can help make your images stand out, like beautiful flowers, a detailed veil, or a 1952 Bentley. Details can make or break the photos. Most of the pictures you see in magazines look so good since the setting, details, and colors are flawless. It will be hard to have epic photos if the venue lacks the details and doesn’t give off the vibe you were going for.

✜ Have your vendors work together. Have your videographer work closely with the photographer; following the photographer’s lead can make all the difference in having the moment look real. The band and/or deejay also help arrange the events to tell the story during the reception and will be able to get the crowd out of their seats. Telling the photographer the order of events will also help ensure he or she gets all of the important shots.

✜ Work with your photographer prior to the big day. Having the rehearsal dinner photographed or participating in an engagement shoot can make a big impact on your album.
